WINTER 2010-11 ADULT ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE
Welcome to the 24th season of winter play in the largest and most exciting independent winter recreational adult hockey league in the Ottawa area! With 144 teams and 24 divisions, there is a division for every caliber of play.
LEAGUE INFORMATION
- Teams play 25 games including play-offs (24 games for teams eliminated after playoff round-robin)
- 18 Regular divisions based on caliber
- 6 “Over-35” divisions based on caliber (click here for over 35 rules)
- Games played at the Civic Centre, University of Ottawa Sports Complex, and the Carleton University Sports Complex
- Season from early September to March/April
- Non-contact (all divisions)
- Schedule, standings and statistics posted daily on Travellers web site
- Teams that qualify are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
- League entry fee before July 16, 2010: $5,190 (includes new HST), $5,290 after July 16, 2010 (includes new HST).
PAYMENT SCHEDULE (OR LUMP SUM PAYMENT)
Payment of entry fee may be made in full (LUMP SUM) anytime in advance of the payment schedule due dates, or you may follow the payment schedule below.
- 1st cheque: $ 495 non-refundable deposit dated today
- 2nd cheque: $ 1300 dated Sep 10, 2010
- 3rd cheque: $ 1200 dated Oct 10, 2010
- 4th cheque: $ 1100 dated Nov 10, 2010
- 5th cheque:
$ 1095dated Dec 10, 2010; or $1,195 if registration received after July 16, 2010 (See Note 1)
TOTAL: $ 5,190 (or $5,290 after July 16, 2010)
Plus BOND > A separate $150 returnable team bond cheque, dated Sept 1, 2010. (If your team already has a bond held by the League, no further action necessary. If your team’s bond has dropped below $150, your team will be asked to top-up the bond to $150 after your team’s acceptance into the League.
(1) the Dec 10, 2010 cheque should be for $1,195 instead of $1095 if registration is received by Travellers after July 16, 2010, or if it is post-marked after July 14, 2009.
(2) Full Lump Sum entry fee of $5,190 even if registration received after July 16, 2010 (provided there is still space in the League)
(3) Cash payments will not be accepted
(4) Make cheques or drafts payable to “Travellers Athletic Club”
(5) Write team name on all cheques
TO ENTER YOUR TEAM, PLEASE SUBMIT FOLLOWING:
- Non-refundable initial deposit cheque or bank draft for $495 dated immediately, and the additional post-dated entry fee cheques (or lump sum) and bond as noted above.

INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR A TEAM
Individuals looking for placement on a team are instructed to fill out this Excel spreadsheet, and e-mail to office@ottawatravellers.ca. Your name and information will be posted on the TRAVELLERS DRAFT BOARD from which players are selected by teams to fill in spots on team rosters.

PLAYER WAIVERS
Once your team is accepted into the League, each player on your team will be required to submit electronically the “Player Registration/Waiver Form” prior to their first game of the season. This online registration form will be posted on the Travellers Club web site prior to the beginning of the season.
